Our wedding venue search started with the beautiful Lillibrooke Manor. Sprawling in 15 acres of gorgeous English countryside, their beautiful barns were full of character and elegance.
From the moment we arrived we loved exploring the grounds and all Lillibrooke had to offer, especially their exquisite Grade II listed Manor House. This 15th century stately home with its beautiful red brick, would make for an unforgettable backdrop to your wedding day photographs. It’s also the perfect space for sundowners and lawn games with its spacious back garden overlooking the orchard and fields.
Next up was the small barn, this is where your ceremony would take place. Found within their pretty cloister garden it makes for the perfect setting for a Welcome Drink Reception. Licensed for civil ceremonies up to 130 seated guests the quaint and stunning architecture makes for a beautiful backdrop for a barn wedding.
Every bride and her bridal party need somewhere to get ready and Lilibrooke have really thought of everything when it comes to the Tack Barn. Unfortunately on the day that we visited, the Tack Barn was still under construction, which meant we never got to see it, however we did see the drawn up plans which did look beautiful. Complete with a private bathroom with shower facilities for those early morning starts, four hair and make up stations for those all important finishing touches, and a kitchenette to ensure the bubbles remained chilled throughout the morning, I mean what more could any bride want!!
We were lucky enough to view the venue during one of their wedding day showcases which meant we got to meet lots of lovely wedding suppliers which we might not have met otherwise. A couple that stood out to us were, Sketched by Siena, a sister duo who create bespoke personalised sketches of your guests on your wedding day (how cool, and such a lovely keepsake for your guests!) The other being, Iced Innovations, a beautiful luxury wedding cake studio run by the ever so lovely Erica Galvin who creates beautiful bespoke cakes for your special day.
As much as we loved Lillibrooke Manor as a potential wedding venue, after our viewing we came to the realisation a barn wedding wasn’t really for us, and we felt that it was just a little too big for what we were looking for. We also wanted somewhere we could stay the night before as we have family coming from Northern Ireland. You can only book the Manor House for the night of your wedding due to other weddings/events taking place. Something to bear in mind, if you too have family traveling from afar. As we are getting married in England I won’t be leaving from my parents house, so I wanted a venue where I would be able to wake up in with family and have a relaxing morning getting ready.
Overall we loved the beautiful Lillibrooke Manor, however, it just wasn’t the venue for us!
